Chart notes
TONI'S INFERNO seized the lead into the first turn the slowed the pace down the backstretch, opened up on the turn then widened when set down in the stretch. DOOLGAROUX unhurried early, settled back four then three wide, was sent along after passing the three furlong pole angled to the rail into the far turn and rallied up the inside to gain the place. LIFELIKE tracked four to five wide then launched a bid from the seven-sixteenths marker, put in a grading finish under heavy pressure and strong handling and gained the third spot. REACH FOR THE ACES raced mid-pack inside through the first half then switched to the outside on the far turn, finished with some interest under a drive but tired. TEMPLE OF PEACE was last through the early going then under a drive from the three furlong pole, tried to circle the field on the far turn but could not muster much of a finish. MO CAN DO took up halfway through the first turn, advanced to a stalking position just behind the pace, dropped to last before the stretch and was not persevered with late. CUSTOM FOR J J came away well from the gate and tracked close up three wide down the backstretch, was under considerable pressure late on the last turn when the pace quickened then faltered in the stretch.
