Chart notes
FLAT TOP BOX saved ground around the first turn, tracked the leader on the inside up the backstretch, continued around the far turn in the two path, challenged approaching the quarter pole and kicked clear. BATTLE OF DOVER saved ground early, chased the leader up the backstretch, dueled from the two path around the far turn and into the stretch and was caught late. LONGBRANCH LOU raced in the two path around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack for the run up the backstretch, began a bid from the four path coming around the far turn and gained ground late. OLD FLAG (IRE) raced in the two path around the first bend, settled off the pace between horses for the run up the backstretch, continued around the far bend still in the two path, began a bid passing the quarter pole and gained ground late. MY FAVORITE TOPIC stalked the leader on the outside through the opening half mile, challenged from the three path coming around the second bend and flattened out in the lane. BAYTOWN PARFAIT raced in the two path around the first turn, led the way up the backstretch, dueled while saving ground around the far turn and weakened in the final furlong. SELECTO raced in the two path around the first turn, settled off the pace on the outside for the run up the backstretch, navigated the far turn still in the two path and made no bid. T B TWELVE ALWAYS saved ground early, raced off the pace on the inside up the backstretch, continued to save ground around the far bend and was empty in the stretch.
