Chart notes
LA POPIS saved ground chasing RIVER OF AMBITION, moved through along the inside to take the lead at the quarter pole, opened clear a clear lead nearing the eighth pole and maintained a safe advantage. YODERANDO was reserved off the early pace, moved up between horses nearing the quarter pole, angled out to be four-wide into the stretch and closed strongly. DIAMOND DEE was allowed to settle, came three-wide into the stretch and rallied late. CLAY'S OPAL INDY hopped slightly at the start to get away behind the field then was allowed to settle, moved up four-wide on the turn to reach contention then came five-wide into the stretch and flattened out. RIVER OF AMBITION set the pace while racing two-wide to near the stretch and weakened. TOPANTICIPATION (GB) bobbled at the start then saved ground while being allowed to settle but lacked a rally when asked.
