Chart notes
MISTER CHARMING was pushed from the break to get forward position, took up stalking position to the outside of GITA'S LAD while under a hold, was set down with just over three furlongs to run, pulled even at the quarter pole then battled gamely through the stretch and was all out to hold off that rival getting a favorable head bob a the line. GITA'S LAD assumed the lead from the break, was able to slow down the pace through the first half, then quickened under pressure going into the far turn, battled gamely when challenged late on the far turn, lost the lead in upper stretch then came back on gamely to just miss. U S HONOUR NAP tracked close up three wide through the early stages, launched a bid with just over three furlongs to run, came into the stretch with good momentum and finished up well but was unable overtake the top pair. REMEMBER THE MAINE settled in the middle of the pack on the inside, crept closer going into the far turn the came under some pressure as the pace quickened, tipped out to the four path and made a late bid but was not enough. MIDNIGHT BLUE NOTE raced near the back of the field in the two path, chased three wide into the stretch and was unable to make an impact. WHERE'D THE DAY GO lacked any initiative from the break, settled at the rear of the field through the first half, maintained contact with the field as the pace quickened late but was unable to improve.
