Chart notes

FRENCH COMPOSER prompt the early leader two deep from the outside, cleared off just past the half mile pole, built a long lead and held clear under steady handling. COFFEE COUNTY stalked the pace, asked nearing the three eighths pole, saved ground past the quarter pole, kept on but was no match for the winner in the drive. TONTERIA stalked the pace, raced four wide into the upper stretch and had not enough for the top pair. DEER CROSSING chased the top trio from the inside and weakened a bit through the drive. WOOD RIVER settled early on, raced four wide into the upper stretch and had no response. DON GUILLERMO off a step slow, raced four wide around both turns, raced far back and eased up on through the stretch run. ONASA set a pressured early pace, was done early and eased up on through the stretch run.
