Chart notes
COPERNIUM was pinched back leaving the gate, moved up to duel on the outside racing up the backstretch, led the way from the two path coming around the bend and held clear to the wire. BOWIE raced off the pace early, swung out to the four and five path coming around the turn, began a bid entering the stretch and gained ground late. CALIFORNIA KISS chased the leader up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the three path and weakened in the lane. WINE CANDY dueled on the inside through the opening quarter, dropped back while saving ground around the bend and continued to tire from there. THE TRAINER OF HORSE FOUR, BOWIE, CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST HORSE TWO, COPERNIUM, CITING INTERFENCE ON THE BACKSTRETCH. UPON REVIEW, NO CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH.
