DERBYNESS settled back off of a three ply pace battle, advanced inside under rating mid turn, angled out and circled five wide into the stretch, responded when set down soon after, forged to command outside CARVELLIAN QUEST leaving the eighth pole, kicked clear under a drive then wandered outward through the final yards. CARVELLIAN QUEST , three deep contesting the pace, shook clear under a drive in upper stretch, dug in when confronted near mid stretch, failed to match strides but held well to be clearly second best. FOGGY DEW sparred inside a pair foes for nearly six furlongs, failed to kick on under pressure leaving the three sixteenths and faded. BILL OF RIGHTS got into an battle between foes leaving the chute, stayed on to upper stretch then weakened. IN THE DANCE broke outward, corrected and raced just off the leading trio leading the chute, failed to go on past the three eighths and weakened.
