Chart notes
QUEEN BERKELEY hustled from the break, gained the rail going into the first turn, dueled with AGELESS UNION to the half then surrendered the lead, dropped back on the turn, then was kept to task to hold third well clear of the last trailers. THUNDERS SONG vied between horses early, then backed out of the developing speed duel, tracked the leading pair to the far turn, was unable to keep up when the pace quickened and was distanced. AGELESS UNION broke out at the start then was prompted to get forward position, went three wide through the first turn then joined QUEEN BERKELEY on the lead, edged clear passing the half-mile marker opened through the turn, then widened the margin in the late stages under steady handling. LOUD KITTY was in a little tight after the start, settled inside of the trio contesting the early led then was in last midway down the backstretch, was being distanced by the rest on the turn then went into a drive and made up a little ground but was still well behind at the finish. OPEN FLAME allowed to settle and raced well behind on the first turn, advanced steadily down the backstretch, was up with the leaders approaching the three furlong marker, then chased AGELESS UNION through the stretch and was a clear second best.
