MAN IN THE CAN dueled up front while closest to the inside, faltered when the real running began at the head of the lane. WILLOW CREEK ROAD keen in the first turn when off the pace, settled in the run up the backstretch, failed to respond in the drive. READY SHOES four wide in the first turn, continued out in the strip, four to five wide second turn, bumped upper stretch by LOCHNOOR, angled in and lacked a kick. BURLSWORTH lacked speed while angling in a bit first turn, three wide second bend, remained back. HOLDING PATTERN off a step slow, was never a factor.
