Chart notes
NIGHT OF MAGIC vied inside from the start, took command midway on the turn edging away late on that bend, kicked clear in the stretch under steady urging and was kept to the task although eased up in the very late stages. WASAMATTAFOYOU settled off the pace outside, moved nearer the fence, improved past rivals inside in the stretch to gain the place. HABANA BOY exchanged a light brush at the start, vied outside a three-pronged battle for the lead, weakened. KENRIC had incidental contact at the start, was outpaced early bringing up the rear, swung five to six deep for the stretch run and passed tired foes. PROTEST vied between runners, weakened. ACQUISITIVE bobbled ever so slightly at the start, stalked the leading trio, came out four to five wide for the drive, failed to rally.
