Chart notes
FIONELLO dueled briefly with TRUMP ERA, cleared that rival past the three-eighths pole and stayed strong to the wire with some taps on the shoulder from the crop and steady handling. TRUMP ERA dueled outside FIONELLO to the turn, chased past the three-eighths pole, remained within striking distance down the stretch but had to settle for second best. DOING TIME chased the top pair outside a rival to the turn, went two to three wide around the bend and bested the rest. MR. PIPPINS got crowded between rivals early, chased along the inside, lost ground early on the bend, made some progress while tipping two wide past the quarter pole and could not rally in the drive. MR. CARDENAS tracked three wide into the turn, exited the bend two wide and failed to rally. JALISCO stumbled badly leaving the gate, got put in tight between rivals not too long after, chased from inside through the turn and weakened in the furlong grounds.
