Chart notes
SUNSET PARK broke alertly then was hustled, showed the way down the backstretch, was asked while inside on the turn, responded well under a strong hand-ride in upper stretch, came under a right-handed crop inside the furlong marker and held under steady urging. OBSERVER was hustled from the gate, chased the pace on the outside, went around the turn in the two path, pursued the winner under a drive into the final furlong and proved no match while just able to hold the place. SOUNDS OF SUMMER tracked the pace on the outside, was given he cue near the seven-sixteenths pole, chased in the three path on the turn, pursued the top two in the stretch and just missed the place while well clear for the show. SILENT SANDY broke a step slow, was urged along towards the rear, dropped from the two path to the rail on the turn and failed to threaten. GRACIE GIRL was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the four then five path and failed to respond. MALIBU'S DYNAMITE was hustled from the gate, moved up under urging with five furlongs to run then was taken in hand behind the leader, came back under urging outside the half-mile pole, dropped back while moving from the rail to the two path on the turn and came up empty. OUR LIL SURFERGIRL was off very slow and spotted the front several lengths, settled at the rear on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, moved from the five path to the four path early on the turn, continued in the four path into the stretch and was no factor.
