Chart notes
LADY KHOZ , a forward factor along the inner rail, swung out leaving the turn, drifted out near the sixteenth pole, led late and drove clear while continuing to drift out. CHOSEN FACTOR set the pace in the two path around the turn, was clear in mid stretch and weakened late. QUEEN MCKINZIE , eased out leaving the turn, was fanned four wide at the head of the stretch and flattened out. JAANTJE , pinched back leaving the starting gate, stayed wide on the turn and passed tired horses. MARABINA , checked in tight quarters mid way down the backstretch, remained along the rail on the turn swung very wide in upper stretch and was not a factor. SONG AND A BREEZE , outside horses down the backstretch, chased the pace and gave way leaving the turn. CURLINA STAR broke slowly, swung to the far outside soon after the start and trailed.
