Chart notes
SWEEPING GIANT forwardly place along the inside, angled out on the second turn, rallied two wide under right handed urging to make the lead inside the furlong marker and won under confident handling. STRIKE APPEAL away alertly, set the pace along the inside until deep stretch then couldn't handle the winner and just held on for second. REINVEST trailed early and found his best stride late three wide. KADESH was backed into the gate, well placed three wide and failed to offer the needed response. CAVENDISH had no rally. DR JACK FLYER was washy in the post parade, delayed the start while refusing to load, chased the pace for a half then stopped.
