Chart notes
MAX'S REDEMPTION pushed on early, seized the lead leaving the seven-eights pole, then was joined on the backstretch by a pair of challengers, battled with START SINGING from the three furlong pole then got the best of that rival by mid-stretch then fought off a late bid from GASTOWN in the final yards. GASTOWN got shuffled back after the start moved to the rail and was last into the first run, tracked close up mid-pack then rallied four wide into the stretch to gain the place. START SINGING came away well and pressed the early pace two deep, battled gamely into the stretch but was no match, then all-out to save third. STORMS OF LIFE took up early the dropped to the rail, bided time inside down the backstretch then launched an inside bid on the far turn, cut the corner into the stretch and finished willingly no threat to the top three. DASHYNS DREAM hustled from the break to get forward position, pressed the pace three wide down the backstretch, weakened with three furlongs to run and finished one-paced on the left lead in the stretch. HONEST ANGUS raced close up, saved ground then came up empty in the stretch. SIKARA SIKARA allowed to settle near the rear, was put into a drive from the half, but lacked a response and had nothing to offer in the stretch. FOREIGN TOURIST raced mid-pack to the half the dropped out of it, was kept to task under intermittent urging.
