Chart notes
CYPRESS GOLD broke on top, seized the lead then dictated the pace to the far turn, turned back a mild challenge from SAME PLAY leaving the three furlong pole, responded when set down in the stretch and held clear to the wire. SAME PLAY broke in and made light contact with COWBOY CAUSE at the start then had good speed and stalked in the two path through the early stages, tried to challenge CYPRESS GOLD from the five-sixteenths but was unable to get to that one, chased to the finish and was able to hold safe for the place from a late running rival on the outside. AGATINO (IRE) unhurried early, stayed two to three paths off the rail then swung out to the five path and finished with a rush but was too late. MOONOVERMONTGOMERY settled two deep at the back of the main pack through the early stages, dropped down the rail on the far turn, tried to rally under strong handling and urging but lacked the needed response. REGATTA BAY tracked two deep, made a mild middle move through the far turn then flattened out in the stretch. COWBOY CAUSE got bumped at the start, tracked mid-pack along the rail for the first half, then started to lose ground and was no a factor the rest of the way. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
