Chart notes
GRANDDADDYLONGLEGS set the pace in the two path, lost a couple spots along the inside around the turn, but dug in from the two path down the lane, retook the lead around the sixteenth, and inched clear. XAVI laid up close in the four path, bid around the turn, ran on to narrowly lead passing the eighth pole, but was repelled by an inner foe in the final sixteenth to place. MISTER SHARPIE tracked inside, angled out midway around the turn, swung from the six path into the lane, and finished evenly for show. ICONICUS raced off the pace in the six path, angled into the two path entering the turn, then tipped back out to the five path passing the eighth pole, and was gaining late. SWEET LA CREMA chased in the five path, floated out to the seven path at the top of the lane, improved late but made no impact. SKYLANE trailed inside, fanned out to the eight path in upper stretch, improved thru the final furlong but did not factor. LARRY THE POET pressed in the three path but faded in the stretch. GET THROUGH had a slow start, was wellback in the four path but did not threaten.
