Chart notes

WHAT'S SHAKIN settled off the contested early pace while racing one out from the rail entering the backstretch, launched his bid three wide entering the final turn, and closed with a late surge four wide in deep stretch to get up in time. ROCKCLIFFE away well and stalked the dueling leaders in the run down the backstretch while racing just out from the rail, rallied smartly two wide entering the final turn, assumed control entering the lane, and just failed to last. NEWHART unhurried early while trailing the filed into the backstretch, launched an eye-catching rally from along the rail entering the final turn, and continued to close at the rail in the drive in a solid effort. CASCADE BILLY away alertly and tracked the leader into the first turn while racing one out from the rail, forced the issue two wide from the outside of PETER FLIES in the run down the backside and into the final turn, was overtaken entering the lane, and faded in the late stages. PETER FLIES broke sharply and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of CASCADE BILLY in the run down the backside and into the final turn, dropped back sharply leaving the turn, and had nothing to offer late.
