Chart notes
BLUEGRASS LENT settled at the back of the pack while saving ground at the rail entering the backstretch, rallied smartly from along the inside entering the final turn, shifted three wide leaving the turn to vie for the lead, and inched clear late. COUNTER CAT broke sharply and tracked the dueling leaders in the run down the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, set sail after the leaders two wide entering the final turn and collared the pace rivals entering the lane, and closed determinedly three out from the rail in the drive to prove clearly second best. RONDELITO vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of KYLAM in the run down the backside and through the final turn, was overtaken soon after turning for home, and was outfinished late. KYALAM away alertly and dueled for the lead from the outside of RONDELITO entering the first turn, continued to force the issue from the outside of that rival in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, steadied slightly when in tight quarters entering the lane, and faded in the drive. Following the running of this race, there was a steward's inquiry into an incident at the top of the stretch. After review there was no change made to the original order of finish.
