WET AND WILD was brushed soon after the start when the inside foe stumbled, kept a close eye on the frontrunner while travelling three deep in the second tier outside down the backside, inched up, measuring the pacesetter outside through the turn, pounced to the lead at the quarter pole and in the four path in the drive to the wire comfortably won going away in deep stretch. DISSECTOLOGIST broke a step slow on the start, pulled the rider down the backstretch to sit just behind the pacesetter going into the turn, kept pace while waiting to move behind the leaders on the oval, shifted out three wide having a clear lane turning for home, could not advance on the winner in the stretch but did dig in stubbornly late to save the place share from the oncoming foe outside at the wire. COMMANDER AT SEA settled on the rail near the rear in the early stages, began to edge up on challengers taking the short way around the turn, angled out to be four wide extending his stride smartly and was closing in late but just missed getting up for the place share at the line. STORMIN DAVE had a stalking position on the outside close to the back of the pack, picked up the bit, beginning to pass runners three wide at the quarter pole, swung out further in the six path at the top of the lane but could only finish up mildly down the stretch to be a fringe player in the end. UNDER SURVEILLANCE sat all alone in midfield in the early stages, made no movement on rivals in the running around the bend, shifted to the two path for the stretch drive but had little to show running to the finish line. SPEEDY PAL cleared from the outside to be loose up top by the half, was collared outside at the quarter pole, offered no resistance, folded by the furlong pole and was eased when crossing the finish line appearing to be in distress. DANCIN' DEPUTY stumbled at the start to trail the field down the backside, was urged but made no progress on rivals throughout the turn and galloped down the stretch crossing the finish line.
