Chart notes
BROADWAY PEARL took control soon after the start, set all the pace along the inside, increased advantage into the lane and was not threatened to the wire under intermittent encouragement. C. C. HARBOR void of speed while racing off the inside, came four wide for the drive, rallied mildly to be in time for the place, not a serious threat to the winner. TOOTOO TOURIST chased the winner in vain while off the inside, proved no match in the drive, weakened and was displaced by two rivals then battled back to claim the show spot late. SMART IZZY off a step slow, void of speed inside, continued to save ground, improved bit upper stretch then was outkicked for the show. DEROUTANTE settled off the pace three wide, gave way in the second turn and trailed home.
