Chart notes
SAMMY'S SMILE allowed to settle, closed willingly five wide through the stretch under left handed urging and was along in time. DR. ZARNETT vied for the lead four wide, took command entering the far turn, shook clear before the quarter pole, widened into the stretch and couldn't handle the winner. GONE IN A FLASH well placed, angled out on the far turn, loomed boldly in the middle of the racetrack inside the furlong marker then leveled off. CONTROLLER pressed the pace two then three wide and faded late. HITE failed to menace. UPTOWN pressed the pace two wide into the far turn then gave way in the lane. OAKS HONEY was outrun. MUTINY set the pace along the inside for five furlongs, kept on into the stretch then stopped.
