MI SONRISA forwardly placed in the early stages, was well placed while three wide and between runners into the turn, bid at the quarter marker, vied for the lead into upper stretch, took command into the final furlong, kept to task to deep stretch then drew clear late. GOSPEL CESS broke alertly and showed good early speed, set the pace to the turn then drifted in a bit entering the bend, showed the way to the quarter marker then led into upper stretch while off of the rail, met the bid of MI SONRISA to mid-stretch, lost the lead to that rival into the final furlong, was outkicked by the winner into the final sixteenth and held late for second. CHITOZ'S BLUR close up in the early stages, stalked two wide and between runners into the turn, chased from the rail into upper stretch, could not muster the needed final response and was clear of the rest for third. BEVERLY DINER tracked the early pace from the second flight and while widest up the backstretch, chased four to five wide into the turn, loomed into upper stretch, could not sustain that run into the final furlong and flattened out in the late stages. OSAGE EXPRESS tracked the early pace from the inside, encountered traffic into the turn and was blocked at the quarter marker, found room into upper stretch then could not muster the needed late response. AMARONA SIOUX tracked the pace to the turn, ran in pursuit four wide along the bend, was caught a bit in tight midway through the turn, could not keep pace into upper stretch and gave way in the final furlong. AROA allowed to settle, saved ground to the turn, swung three to four wide into upper stretch and passed tiring rivals late. CHICKS NIGHT OUT lacked early speed, raced two to three wide to upper stretch and did not threaten in the drive. MAMIE D a step slow away from the start, recovered and chased the early pace from the inside, checked when put a bit in tight entering the turn, dropped back along the turn and came up empty in the stretch. OUR SECRET CODE broke in at the start then got shuffled back in the early stages and was off slowly, climbed along the backstretch, raced outside of rivals into the turn, went five wide into upper stretch and did not factor in the final furlong. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE ACTIONS OF GOSPEL CESS ENTERING THE TURN. NO ACTION WAS TAKEN AND THE STEWARDS RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
