Chart notes
SELF SERVING was four wide leaving the backstretch, responded when roused at the final turn, closed steadily on the outside, and surged in the final strides to narrowly defeat AMUSING WAY at the wire. AMUSING WAY brushed HOLY EMPEROR leaving the gate, vied five wide for the early lead, responded to threats into the stretch, drew clear and denied before the wire. TUCKER TIME saved ground early, roused four wide in the final turn, matched strides inside of SELF SERVING, lost path then shifted inside but encountered traffic and got up late for show. JULIUS THE GREAT chased the pacesetter, and weakened through the stretch. COMMON KNOWLEDGE sat in striking range while three wide, was all out and yielded. HOLY EMPEROR brushed away from the gate, and offered a late mild bid. ASKMENOQUESTIONS offered little.
