Chart notes
GENTLE SOUL forwardly placed early three wide, fell back off the leaders before a half, two path second turn in the second flight, split foes into the first marker, dug in late to prevail in narrow and game fashion. DON'TASK DON'TTELL broke in, raced toward the inside, in some traffic late first turn while a bit keen, saved ground into the second bend, steered out for the drive, outside bid, late duel, outkicked. BATTLE SCARS pressed the early leader from the three path first turn, moved on that one and dueled in the two path through the second turn, vied past the furlong marker, then was outfinished from between the top two at the end. COURAGEOUSLY pinched back to trail at the start, raced back while saving ground, lacked a closing kick. HELLO HOT ROD broke out to help tighten up COURAGEOUSLY, was straightened and showed the way into the first turn, set a pressured pace through some soft early fractions, faltered in the drive. WIND OF CHANGE (BRZ) forwardly placed while five wide through most of the first turn, remained within striking distance on the outside through the second bend, had little left for the stretch run. BLESSED VISION back off the pace and the inside, three to four wide turning for home, lacked a closing response.
