Chart notes
AUGUSTA MELODY , carried out soon after the break, prompted the pace outside RADICAL RIGHT, bid for the lead entering the stretch, asserted himself the final furlong and drew clear under vigorous rousing. BAND CAMP remained along the inner rail on the turn, eased out three wide entering the stretch, took aim on the lead in upper stretch and gained the place. RADICAL RIGHT bore out brushing the outside of his starting gate, bumped FREEZE THE FIRE soon after the break, was hustled to the early lead, hugged the inner rail and fought gamely through the stretch. EXPLORATION broke slowly, stayed along the inner rail around the turn, angled out in upper stretch, worked between horses and passed tired ones. FREEZE THE FIRE , bumped and forced out leaving the starting gate, chased the pace between horses to the stretch then weakened. CIRCLE P , four deep chasing the pace around the turn, weakened, returned bleeding and was transported off the track on the equine ambulance. TOP BLOOD , carried out soon after the break, was no factor and swung to the five path in upper stretch.
