Chart notes
BRINDI (IRE) shadowed the pacesetter, moved forward willingly on the turn, took a narrow lead at the quarter pole, faced a determined rival inside through the lane as well as first one then another foe outside and just held. SOMETHINABOUTHER rated in behind from off the fence under a hard hold in the early going, went about two to three wide before coming out leaving the turn brushing with a rival lightly, was five wide at the top of the stretch and under strong urging at that juncture with aim on the leaders, gained steadily to bid late but just missed. SOCIAL CODE broke a step slowly, shifted in and moved forward to track inside, saved ground, hesitated briefly at the top of the stretch appearing poised to angle out but then stayed inside, was guided out three to four wide about a sixteenth out seeking room, rallied between runners in a late bid but was too late. SHOTGUN WEDDING bobbled slightly outwardly at the start but quickly took the lead, set the pace inside on or just off the rail hounded by the eventual winner throughout, was headed by that one past the quarter pole but fought on valiantly inside and was simply outfinished. ARISTELLA settled outside off the pace, was three to five wide through the turn, came out seven wide in upper stretch, finished up mildly but was not enough. CRYSTALAIRE (GB) shifted in and saved ground on the turn, came out seven wide for the drive, failed to menace. WAR SIGNAL stalked while outside a foe going about three to four wide on the turn, exchanged light brushes past the quarter pole, weakened in the stretch. CRYSTAL VISIONS settled off the pace outside a foe about two to three wide into and on the turn, came out turning for home before going back in a bit, failed to rally.
