BEST BET broke out and hit the gate but came out towards the front, showed the way with a clear lead, extended the advantage late on the backstretch, raced inside on the turn, was asked turning into upper stretch, came under a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker, was switched to a left-handed crop while still clear outside the sixteenth-pole but was caught while clear for the place. DADS GOOD RUNNER was hustled from the gate then chased the pace, dropped further behind the leader late on the backstretch, moved from the two path to the rail early on the turn, spun into the stretch in the two path, drifted out under a left-handed crop inside the three-sixteenths pole, was switched to a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker and lacked the needed kick while able to get the show. BLAKE B. bumped with a rival shortly after the start, was urged along off the pace, went around most of the turn in the three path then moved to the four path, turned into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. JAKE ROCKS tossed his head at the start and was off a step slow, raced off the pace under urging, moved from the rail to the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and failed to rally. GUN MAESTRO bumped with an opponent just after the start, settled under some urging, moved out near the five-eighths pole, was urged along in the four path on the turn and came up empty. RETURN THE RING chased the pace on the outside, dropped further behind the leader late on the backstretch, rounded the turn in the three path and capitulated.
