Chart notes
SPEAKING quickly showed in front, set the pace racing with a clear lead, responded when roused in upper stretch, was ridden out under energetic handling and in hand the final strides. GREAT NAVIGATOR tracked on the inside, chased inside on the turn, rallied on the rail into the stretch, angled out, dug in gamely and held for second. NO CENTS was moving just as the gates opened and had a terrible start, caught up to the field at the half mile marker, advanced on the turn, came four wide into the lane, rallied outside and dug in gamely to the finish. FOREVER CHOCOLATE chased three wide, chased on the turn, came three wide into the lane and weakened. ELECTRIC EEL stalked between rivals in the early stages, then chased inside and tired. KAZ SWEET HEIST was outrun. After a Stewards' Inquiry into the start, the race was declared official.
