Chart notes
C C'S COWGIRL broke well from the outside, cleared into the first turn, set the pace while saving ground, responded when challenged second turn, spirited stretch duel, headed late, battled back to narrowly prevail in game fashion. BENT HALO off step slow, settled off the pace in the two path through the first turn, shifted out to be three wide backstretch, advanced and challenged the winner between horses second turn, stretch duel, led late, outkicked. CAPELLA RED lacked speed off the inside, moved out to be three wide onto the backstretch, was four wide and outside the runner up when moving to challenge into the far turn, came four wide out of the that bend to lose ground, regained the show spot the final furlong while slowly closing the gap on the top pair. WINGS LIKE EAGLES closest to the winner through the first turn while a bit keen, continued to pursue that one under a hold up the backstretch, took a bad step with just under a half mile to run, fell back, moved a bit closer while remaining in the two path late in the final turn, lost action in upper and midstretch, went flat through the final furlong. SWIZZLECITY behind the winner while along the inside, continued track and save ground into and through the final bend, had nothing for the drive.
