Chart notes
LINNY KATE reserved off the pace for the first half mile, rallied into the far turn splitting rivals at the five-sixteenths pole to challenge for the lead from three wide turning for home and closed well to be going away in the final sixteenth. STARSHIP BELMONT set the pace on a clear, well rated lead for the first three-quarters, responded to the winner's challenge in upper stretch but weakened inside the eighth pole while holding well for the place. RED ELEANOR was well placed along the fence just off the leader in striking position throughout to be prominent at the head of the lane and finished evenly. BEECHNUT TROPHY stalked the pacesetter from two wide for three-quarters and lacked a clsoing kick when called upon for the drive. AMUNET went evenly never posing a threat. PURE ELEGANCE unhurried to be near the rear of the field, mounted a brief middle move on the far turn and gave way.
