Chart notes
BAYTOWN STORM settled along the fence to be well placed just off the leaders for the run down the backside, rallied turning for home tippong out to the four path to chase the runner-up down the lane and finished well to war that one down inside the final sixteenth in a well managed ride. HAUT LES COEURS unhurried early to be near the rear of the field, raced wide down the backside, rallied five wide on the far turn to engage the leaders leaving the quarter pole, took the lead midway down the lane and was out-finished by the winner while clearly second best. CLARAMENTE tracked the leaders from between rivals to the far turn, mounted a mild rally in upper stretch, failed to gain on the top pair and finished up best of the rest. DOROTEA DREAM reserved off the pace near the rear of the field, advanced into the far turn, waited behind a wall of rivals on the bend and closed with some mild interest in the stretch. HIGH TRACK took the lead from the start, opened a well measured lead down the backside, kicked clear on the final turn and weakened coming home. STROKE OF LUCK broke a step slow to be the trailer, continued to trail to the head of the lane and passed tiring rivals down the stretch. DRINK DEEPLY stalked the pace throught the first turn to be comfortably in hand in striking distance down the backside and came up empty on the far turn. NUN GIMEL HAY PO pressed the pace for a half mile and gave way.
