Chart notes
MEZCALIFORNIA vied two wide and between horses, drew clear entering the lane and held sway under a drive. ALWAYS PRACTICAL tracked off of the pace four wide, inched closer turning for home, edged place in midstretch and was second best. COMMANDED tracked near the inside, moved between horses turning for home, vied for place with an outer rival into midstretch, but yielded in the final furlong and saved show. SWEET BEBSI was slow into stride, trailed in the three path, moved out to the five path in upper stretch and ran on mildly to miss show. SWEET NOTE pressed three wide and gave way between horses in upper stretch. AORAKI vied for the lead inside of the eventual winner, but faded turning for home.
