Chart notes
SAPPHIRE BEAUTY stalked in the five path, bid passing the quarter, floated out to the seven path turning into the stretch, took the lead passing the eighth pole, and dug to hold firm. BEACH ISLAND raced up close in the four path, bid between foes midway around turn, ran on to sustain that bid into the final furlong, but was edged out by an outer foe. OSCAR GAZE tracked in the four path, was ridden around the turn, angled out to the nine path entering the lane, and kept on for show. TRUE SUNSHINE chased in the five path, tipped out to the eight path turning into the stretch, and finished evenly. FANCY PRINCESS set the pace in the three path, got challenged by an outer pair midway around the turn, lost the lead nearing the eighth pole, and faded. WAIT A SEC hopped at the start causing the rider to briefly lose his right iron, then always trailed around the six path.
