Chart notes
KALIL steered to the front from the break, established command and rated kindly while seeming to relish the sloppy going, widened the margin late on the far turn then ran away in the stretch under a mild hand ride. PRECIOUS MONEY was not asked for speed from the break, settled on the rail off the pace, inched closer into the far turn then launched a bid in earnest from the three furlong pole, was no match for the winner but held clear for second. JOJO BEAN settled mid-pack two wide, bided time down the backstretch, loomed four wide approaching the quarter pole, had trouble changing leads at the top of the stretch but managed to improve to gain the third prize. BE A BANDIT settled at the rear but not too far from the front, moved closer as the field went into the last turn, bid four wide into the stretch but was outkicked to the finish and unable to improve. THUNDERING DESIRE pressed KALIL on the lead through the first half mile, weakened passing the three furlong pole and had nothing for the stretch run. LA PALABRA tracked three wide a couple of lengths behind the pace, was unable to keee up past the three furlong marker and was not a factor in the stretch.
