Chart notes
FREUD'S FANCY was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, settled at the rear, moved from the rail to the four path while roused on the turn, rallied in the five path into the stretch and closed well to get up in the final sixteenth and prevail. BROKEN ZIPPER moved up outside the three-quarter pole to dispute the pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the turn, was given her cue near the five-sixteenths pole, took the advantage before the three-sixteenths pole, shook clear outside the furlong marker, remained clear until near the sixteenth-pole but was caught while clear for the place. ASHDALE settled on the outside, chased in the four path on the turn, pursued the leader under a drive in the stretch and lacked the needed kick but was clear for the show. BANK ON BEBE broke in a bit, went to the front then showed the way, was asked in the two path on the turn, lost the advantage coming to the three-sixteenths pole, dropped back into the final furlong then had the rider lose his crop and tired. THE SPLENDID ONE settled on the inside of a rival, chased in the two path for most of the turn then dropped to the inside, drifted out near the furlong marker and came up empty. DEAR JOHN settled under some urging then dropped to the rear, went around the turn in the two path, came out in upper stretch and faltered then was eased but walked off.
