Chart notes
PICCATA PRINCE stalked the pace from the rail through the turn, angled five wide turning for home, made a steady advance down the lane, changed leads inside the sixteenth pole to find his best stride late and prevail at the wire. BETTERING reserved off the early pace while well in hand, circled four wide on the turn to challenge for the lead, took command in mid-stretch and was outfinished in the fianl yards. MACLIN trailed to the head of the stretch, swung out for the drive at the top of the stretch and showed some late interest passing tiring rivals to be along for the show. SPELLED WELL pressed the pace to midway on the turn, took the lead leaving the five-sixteenths pole, battled with the runner-up to mid-straetch and weakened late in the lane. V MART set a pressured pace for the first three-eighth in rapid fractions and faltered midway on the bend.
