Chart notes
NOBALS set the pace while remaining a path off of the inside around the turn, drew off entering the lane, widened under moderate urging and was put to hand late to establish a new course record. CHISELER tracked three wide before tucking to the inside passing the half mile pole, gained place from an outer rival while chasing in the two path in upper stretch, proved no match for the leader then lasted for place between bidders at the wire. ONE TIMER settled off of the pace along the inside, moved to the three path in upper stretch, ran on willingly between horses in the final furlong and missed show while saving place. SHARDS trailed along the inside, saved ground, ran on up fence but also missed in the three-way photo for place. DOUBLE CLUTCH pursued two wide, shifted out to the five path in upper stretch and failed to menace. CLEAR THE AIR pressed outside of the eventual winner and from the three path, proved no match for that one entering the lane, faded and weakened between rivals late.
