Chart notes
BROWN RESERVE settled in hand, joined the vanguard three deep leaving the turn, wore down his rivals to the inside and prevailed narrowly. SWEET LA CREMA disputed the pace inside, fought on through a prolonged drive while exchanging bumps with MISTER SHARPIE through the final sixteenth and was turned away late. MISTER SHARPIE contested the pace outside, battled hard when collared between rivals leaving the turn, swapped bumps with SWEET LA CREMA in the final yards and succumbed. ICONICUS lunged at the start and was away slow, was unhurried into stride, came under a ride into the turn, came three wide and was making up ground well late. LARRY THE POET contended between horses, dropped off of the leaders on the turn, altered to the outside and flattened entering the lane. SKYLANE was through early. The jockey of MISTER SHARPIE lodged an objection against SWEET LA CREMA for alleged interference through the drive, but following the Stewards review there was no change to the order of finish.
