EXCAPING THE BLUES followed the early pace, was struck by a flying large goose across the chest half way through the race, continued on raced four wide into the second turn, made a bid, dueled with LAST ATTACK to late stretch and edged clear. LAST ATTACK set a clear early pace, raced off the rail through the turns, met the bid of the winner, dueled to late stretch and finished second best. MOON CAT was taken back early, advanced six wide through the second turn, was bumped by an incident in the stretch caused by the fallen foe and offered a mild rally. PAPA BILL was allowed to settle early from between rivals, angled in and was empty. TX CODE raced in mid pack early, went four wide into the second turn, angled in and was empty. MIAMI MOONLIGHT was void of any early speed, saved ground and never fired. GO CATS was unhurried early from the inside, angled out and was no factor. GABARRA was taken back early, made a middle move into the back stretch, stepped over a flying goose that bounced off ESCAPING THE BLUES, raced in the four path through the turn, was angled out, was bumped by the falling foe and lost all chances. ROUSTABOUT was outrun early, bolted in the first turn causing serval rivals to take hold and was finished early. NO TROUBLE was reserved early, was carried out bad through the first turn and never recovered. COLONEL YORKE was unhurried early, was carried out in the first turn and never recovered. JED stalked the early pace from the inside angled out, fell and was vanned off. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE RACE AND TOOK NO ACTION.
