Chart notes
LESS IS MORE pressed RIDEGOLD from outside, kept the heat on through the far turn, hounded that rival into deep stretch and dug in late to edged the runner-up. RIDEGOLD showed the way from the rail position under pressure from LESS IS MORE, maintained a short lead over that rival into deep stretch and yielded grudgingly late. CALIFORNIA ROCKS broke a step slow and bumped with outer rival, tucked inside at the back, shifted to the two path midway around the far turn, angled out at the top of the lane, offered a mild rally while drifting in and gained third. WINTER SNOW broke out and was quickly corrected, settled outside a rival early, moved into range in the middle stages, chased two then three wide around the second bend and could not produce a bid. DERTIEN bumped lightly with inner rival at the start, stalked the top pair from inside, continued to save ground around the far turn, moved out at the top of the lane but weakened in the drive. FRENCH MOONLIGHT tracked the leading pair in the two path, followed in range still two wide on the far turn and lacked the needed response in the drive. STUBBORN was rank along the inside early, tracked from the fence through the far turn and failed to rally.
