Chart notes
DAKOTA COUNTRY bobbled just after the initial step at the start, raced three then two wide through the first turn settling just off the pace tracking just off the inside into the backstretch, came under coaxing with three-eighths to run, angled four to five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command just outside the eighth pole, edged clear under a drive briefly and then held safe kept busy to the wire. IRON MAX broke inwards striking the near side stall at the start and then continued inwards before being corrected, raced three wide through the first turn, chased three wide down the backstretch and through the far turn patiently handled until placed to urging nearing the quarter pole, angled six wide into upper stretch, offered up a good finish to close stoutly and latch on the leader as he hit the wire. POWERED BY COAL settled just off the inside in mid pack, came under encouragement at the three-eighths, went eight wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick to secure the show honors. TAP IT EASY forwardly placed just off the inside through the first turn, tracked the spurting leader three then two wide coming under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths and advancing on that foe to latch on nearing the five-sixteenths, spun three wide into upper stretch, seized narrow and brief command at the three-sixteenths before being displaced by the eventual winner nearing the eighth pole, then weakened in the late stages. G FIVE broke through the gate prior to the start and was reloaded, tracked the pace along the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled three to four wide for home and weakened in the stretch. PATRONAGE broke a half a beat slow and was pinched at the start by SWEET TONE, who broke outwards, settled just off the inside at the tail of the field, came under encouragement at the three-eighths, swung three wide into upper stretch and passed tired foes. RAGAZZO D'ORO just off the inside through the first turn, chased three wide thereafter coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, tipped four wide into upper stretch, weakened. BLUE PILL chased along the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, angled three to four wide into upper stretch, weakened. OATH OF OMERTA got bumped at the start by SWEET TONE, who broke outwards, raced three then two wide through the first turn spurting away to a clear lead into the backstretch, showed the way along the inside uncontested, came under growing threat into the far turn and had TAP IT EASY latch on nearing the five-sixteenths, came under urging near the quarter pole and took the inside route into upper stretch, yielded the front at the three-sixteenths and tired through to the finish. SWEET TONE broke out at the start pinching off PATRONAGE and bumping OATH OF OMERTA, chased along the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and tired.
