Chart notes
THIRSTY FRIEND away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail midway through the first turn, dictated the pace from along the rail into the backstretch, was quickly collared and overtaken by BARBERRY BANDIT approaching the final turn, battled back along the rail through the final turn to re-take the lead, and widened his advantage in the stretch drive. BARBERRY BANDIT away well and tracked the leader into the backstretch while easing one off the rail, rushed up midway down the backside and took a narrow lead into the final turn, was unable to dispose of a determined THIRSTY FRIEND through the final turn, and was no match for that rival late while proving easily second best. SILARONE broke sharply and was allowed to settle at the back of a compact field, launched his bid from along the rail entering the final turn, and finished three wide in the drive to garner a share. EBONY EYES stalked the pacesetter into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail entering the backstretch, rushed up three wide midway down the backside to battle for the lead entering the final turn, but faded over the final furlong.
