Chart notes
IT'LL DO attended the pace three deep under nice rating, moved to a slim lead leaving the five sixteenths, thwarted an outside challenge from SUPER NEEDY leaving the three sixteenths, spurted clear and held firm under a drive. SUPER NEEDY rated off the leading trio, brushed with PRINCE OF PORTLAND when angling out mid turn, ranged up four wide to threaten the winner in upper stretch, could not quite match strides leaving mid stretch but kept on well to the wire. PRINCE OF PORTLAND settled off the pace while four to five wide, brushed with an inner foe when advancing mid turn, rolled up to loom a presence into the lane, chased then faded in the final furlong. CASSIUS , sluggish away, was urged along early off of contested pace but failed to get involved. PARKERNESS broke sharply and led briefly, ceded to an inner rival but stayed on to contest the issue between rivals, inherited the inside as foe dropped back, stayed on to upper stretch then weakened. TOUGH WORKOUT advanced inside foes to take a short lead heading to the five eighths, dueled leaving the far turn then tired entering the stretch.
