MISSION NORTH , confidently rated between horses down the back stretch and into the far turn, eased outside approaching the stretch, advanced outside CORINGA under a hand ride, led near the sixteenth pole and edged clear. CORINGA chased the pace outside JOE THE JET, gained the lead in upper stretch, went clear in mid stretch, finished gamely but was second best. THATAWAY lacked speed, stayed along the inner rail to the stretch, swung wide in upper stretch and passed tired horses. MISSION ARTEMIS , rated back approaching the first turn, stayed along the inner rail stalking the pace, eased out to the three path in upper stretch and weakened. KING'S RIVER , no factor, wsa four wide on the far turn. JOE THE JET set the pace along the inner rail, lost the lead in upper stretch and gave way the final furlong. ELUSIVE IMAGE , four wide the first turn, chased the pace to the far turn and weakened.
