Chart notes

MAIRSILS FIRST disputed the pace to the first turn then assumed command into the backstretch, set decent fractions while well handled to the second turn, led into upper stretch then kept to task late and held for the win. UP ON THE EDGE allowed to settle early on while saving ground, shifted to the outside of rivals along the backstretch run, loomed three to four wide into the second turn, ran in pursuit of MAIRSILS FIRST into the stretch, was gaining late but could not reel in the winner in deep stretch and was a clear second. BABY DOLL PEACH close up to the early pace, stalked three wide along the backstretch and was well placed to the second turn, chased into upper stretch then was outkicked in the final furlong and held late for the show. OVERCAST forwardly placed early on, checked while in tight along the first turn, tracked the early pace from between runners, chased two to three wide to the stretch, could not find the needed late response and was outfinished for third. C C'S HEART allowed to settle early on, was caught in tight nearing the quarter marker, swung six wide for the stretch drive, made a mild late rally but needed more in deep stretch. CHERBOURG was caught a bit in tight in the early stages and was shuffled back approaching the first turn, settled into the backstretch run, chased three wide to the quarter marker then finished evenly in the stretch. QURBAAN D ORO broke alertly, ceded the early lead and stalked the pace from the inside into the backstretch, chased from the inside into the second turn, lacked a response into the lane and weakened in the final stages. MAGENS BAY tracked the early pace three wide, chased two wide and between runners nearing the quarter pole, ran in pursuit into the stretch and did not rally late. ROSE VIEW unhurried in the early going, asked for run four to five wide into the far turn, advanced at the quarter marker then flattened out in the stretch drive. NOT A WORD chased the early pace from the inside, was caught in tight into the first turn and checked nearing the six furlong pole, settled and saved ground to the second turn then tired in the stretch run.
