Chart notes
ASSET BASIS raced three wide off the clear top around the first turn, edged closer and stalked the leader up the backstretch, picked up the tempo two wide entering the far turn, engaged KOBE'S CAUSE for the lead at the five sixteenths pole, cleared command leaving the quarter pole, came two wide into the upper stretch, put to a drive, widened to a clear advantage and kept to task. CONTACT TRACING settled through early stages, picked up the tempo leaving the backstretch, edged closer three wide late on the far turn, ran on with good response down the lane and cleared second best. KOBE'S CAUSE jostled a bit between foes out of the gate and hustled up to duel for the early lead, took control leaving the first turn and set the pace up the backstretch, challenged by ASSET BASIS mid-way around the far turn, failed to match past the quarter pole, saved ground into the lane and weakened to show. SWAMPDRAINER vied briefly then sat just off the leader late on the first turn, remained forwardly placed up the backstretch, weakened off the top pair around the far turn and continued to tire in the drive. JAHEZ was unhurried through early stages, failed to progress under pressure around the far turn and retreated. LUCKY LOUIE tracked the pace around the first turn, continued in contention through the backstretch, came up empty around the final turn and jogged in. HALF MILE TIME WAS HAND TIMED DUE TO TIMER MALFUNCTION
