Chart notes
CHARGER sped to the front soon after the start, set all the pace and prevailed under left then right handed urging. FAT DADDY bore out bumping hard with BROADWAY JONES at the start, was bumped by MARKHAMIAN past the half mile marker, rallied determinedly four wide through the stretch and was steadily cutting into the winners advantage nearing the wire. BAD LITTLE BEAST unhurried early, swung wide and closed a gap late in the middle of the racetrack. MARKHAMIAN was in tight leaving the chute then again near the half mile marker, bumped the runner up then failed to menace. MONTAUK COVE stalked the pace along the inside into the stretch then faded. C J ALL THE WAY chased the pace two wide and was through after a half. BROADWAY JONES was bumped hard at the start and had brief speed. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN BUT TOOK NO ACTION.
