Chart notes
CYCLONE was never far back, rallied four wide at the quarter pole, prevailed late under strong handling. NEWYEARSBLOCKPARTY had good position throughout, rallied in the stretch while between horses, held gamely and just missed. DON'T STOP dueled on the lead throughout and held stubbornly in the stretch. STAR ENTERTAINER was allowed to settle early, swung five wide in the stretch and finished well. DR SCHUSTER pressed the pace for a half, then weakened in the stretch. SUMMERFEST had good position early, saved ground and was no threat late. MUGSY MALONE was no factor.
