Chart notes

HAWKS CREEK , patiently rated stalking the pace three wide, cruised up and engaged the leader from the outside with about a quarter mile remaining, responded when shaken up and kicked clear in mid stretch, kept on under solid handling and turned away an outer bid from EVEN THE WIND. EVEN THE WIND saved ground under rating, swung five wide for the drive, ranged up outside rivals leaving mid stretch, kept on willingly but was denied. TIME MUSE , away in good order, fought restraint in the opening furlong then was steadied along around the first turn and into the backstretch, finally settled saving ground, checked off heels nearing the quarter pole, shifted out to chase inside a rival near mid stretch then flattened out. BAKENEKO , used four then three wide around the first turn and into the backstretch, cleared off and dropped in some, was joined by the winner leaving the five sixteenths, failed to go on leaving the three sixteenths and weakened. GENERAL ISSUE (FR) , between rivals early, came four wide for the drive but lacked a bid. REGAINED POWER cleared early and set the pace towards the inside, ceded command early backstretch, stayed on to stalk to the five sixteenths then faltered.
